The difference
Why an ordinary net will not do
Monkeys pull, hang and bite. A light nylon bird net gives way at the first serious attempt, and once one gap opens the whole installation is useless. Monkey netting uses a much heavier knotted rope mesh with a strong border rope, and the anchors are set at closer intervals into structural concrete rather than into plaster or brick alone.
The span matters too. A large terrace cannot be covered in one unsupported stretch — the net needs intermediate support so it does not sag under its own weight and under load.

Planning
What we look at during inspection
First, how the monkeys are arriving — over a compound wall, along a cable, from an adjoining terrace or from a tree. Covering one opening while leaving the obvious approach route untouched only moves the problem a few metres.
Second, the fixing surface. We need sound concrete at the anchor points, so we check the parapet and slab condition before quoting. Where the parapet is weak, the fixing plan changes and we will tell you so upfront.

Use of the terrace afterwards
The net is fitted overhead or across the opening so the floor of the terrace remains fully usable — clothes lines, plants and water tanks all stay accessible. Where you need to get above the net for tank cleaning, we plan an access panel at the inspection.
Rain and sun pass through the mesh, so the terrace does not become dark or trap heat.
